Cloudera Management Console on premises

• Cloudera Data Services on premises Release Notes
• Cloudera Data Services on premises Release Summary

Cloudera Management Console is a service for administering Cloudera Data Services on premises. As a Cloudera administrator, you can use it for managing environments, data lakes, environment resources, and users across all Cloudera services.

Getting started as an Administrator

Cloudera on premises enables you to generate and download diagnostic data associated with the various services and workloads for troubleshooting purposes. You can perform these tasks from the Diagnostics tab of the Cloudera Management Console.Learn more about the Administrator tasks

Register your on premises environment

A private cloud environment is a logical entity that represents the association of your Cloudera on premises user account with multiple compute resources using which you can provision and manage workloads such as Cloudera Data Warehouse, Cloudera Data Engineering, and Cloudera AI. You can register as many environments as you require. Learn more about registering the environment

Managing user access and authorization

To provide access to resources such as environments and clusters, you must add users and assign roles and resources to them.

• Onboarding users
• Managing users
• Managing groups

Monitor resource utilization

Resource Utilization provides an overview of the resources consumed by the Cloudera workloads for a specific environment. You can get information about all compute clusters used across environments and compute resource utilization within these compute clusters. You can view information about the number of cores and the memory used by a specific environment. Using this data, you can plan your resource allocation for the workloads. Backup and restore

Data Recovery Service allows you to back up and restore Kubernetes namespaces and resources on both Cloudera Embedded Container Service (ECS) and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) for a few services such as Cloudera Control Plane and Cloudera Data Warehouse.
