VIZ-4405 – Numeric values use regional formatting when Apply Display Format is disabled

Fixed an issue that caused numeric values in newly created datasets to appear in an unexpected abbreviated format, such as 29K instead of 29536.03, when no display format was configured on the Fields tab and Apply Display Format was disabled.

Numeric values now display as follows:

• When no display format is configured and Apply Display Format is disabled, values use the active regional number format, including the appropriate decimal and thousands separators. For example, with the German region selected, 29536.03 appears as 29.536,03.
• When a display format is configured, it is applied when Apply Display Format is enabled.

VIZ-4406 – Dashboards with custom JavaScript extensions no longer become unresponsive

Fixed an issue that caused dashboards using custom JavaScript extensions to become unresponsive and generate excessive console messages when users changed filters, navigated between pages, or toggled sections. The issue was caused by recursive wrapping of the internal parameters function.

VIZ-4519 – Editing the Data Model tab now requires the Manage dataset permission

Fixed an issue that allowed users without the Manage dataset permission to edit and save changes on the Data Model tab. These users can still view the tab, but the editing controls are now unavailable.

VIZ-4521 – Navigation menus are no longer clipped on smaller screens

Fixed an issue where the navbar and navbar dropdown menus could be clipped on smaller screens.

Fixed Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures

The following Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVE) has been fixed in Cloudera Data Visualization 8.1.6.

• CVE-2026-39821
